Design and Implementation of Ultra-Wideband Frequency Synthesizer Using DDS

In this study, a C~K band frequency synthesizer used in broadband electronic warfare equipment was designed, developed, and the measurement results were presented. The structure of designed generates signal up to 6 GHz using only direct digital synthesizer(DDS) without mixer or multiplier. For signals above frequency, uses addition, variable sampling DDS circuit improve quality by reducing spurious signals, harmonic phase noise. developed has different performance depending on use multiplier, C~G output power flatness ±1.7 dB, less than −55 dBc, noise −95 dBc/Hz (@1 kHz). H~K multiplier characteristics ±2.0 −35 −80 study confirmed miniaturization generation module band.
